Winsight - '00 Honda Insight
90 day: 56.69 mpg (US)

Miaderp - '95 Mazda Miata
90 day: 28.53 mpg (US)

EGR does help with highway efficiency. I would do a test of 21.1AFR and EGR, with about 50-60* timing. See what happens, you may be surprised. My insight runs about 35* at 70mph at medium load in lean burn (21.1AFR).

21 is probably not going to work on his Subie, it's going to misfire. Your Insight had its heads designed for running ultra lean.

evergreen it sounds like you do a lot of driving with that car, have you thought about using a narrowband emulator to get the car to run lean in closed loop? It's a 200 dollar investment, but you can probably get most of the money back if you want to get rid of the wideband controller (I'd be happy to buy it off you lol).

21 afr is too lean, i will try 19:1 afr tomorrow. but its clear 17:1 is too hot as it knocks. hey why would i need a narrowband lean burn? i can already do leanburn via standalone ecu setup :\
