Levels of Awareness

Today Scott Adams offered a white board presentation on levels of awareness, for the new-born innocent to a being that can author their way through a hypothesized simulation:

https://youtu.be/37wNBPRz9QE?t=2053

Spoiler in white, highlight to read: Innocent>Truther>Victim>Skeptic>Strategist>Author: I've always used Timothy Leary's four terrestrial circuits, or Arthur M. Young's Reflexive Universe, but this is an interesting frame.

You can look at the posters on this board and sort them into the schema.

Sabine Hossenelder on Simulation Theory:

Edit: So I've watched the video.

Part of the problem that you can't simulate anything on present-day computers, IMHO, is that the calculations are done in a Cartesian Coordinate system, when physical reality is done Synergetically.
Quote:
Synergetics
Synergetics is the name R. Buckminster Fuller gave to a field of study and inventive language he pioneered, the empirical study of systems in transformation, with an emphasis on whole system behaviors unpredicted by the behavior of any components in isolation.Wikipedia

It's the only episode in months that I haven't listened to by noon. I'll do that now.

Good episode. Victim isn't a useful framework even if one is an actual victim of circumstance because it robs what agency exists to change that reality into a better one.

That said, yesterday's episode was the actual best Coffee With Scott Adams yet. Mind blowing. I listened to it late last night as I rolled into Colorado Springs with my daughter screaming in the back (long tired road trip).

The main topic is cognitive dissonance with a minor topic on fairness.
