I've found the foglights to be mostly useless.

I use mine when conditions require headlights but aren't dark enough for the headlights (ie, when there is lite snowfall where i want people to see me coming). Basically i use them in place of daytime running lights, which i opted out of on my Jeep, since i didn't want to cough up an extra $135 for the relay
