Would be nice to see what his actual camper situation is beyond that one shot of the passenger door. He seems to have all the seats (except the driver's of course) removed and a platform inside.

Still, I think I'd look for an Escort/Focus/Corolla/Accord wagon (or even a Toyota vanowagon or other 4 cyl minivan) and have a ton more room. I doubt he's moving that vehicle much.

One more thought, slatted ikea wood bases (maybe the really light synthetic ones) would be lighter than plywood for you ecomodders headed to music festivals. Here's the idea in a minivan:
