local motors strati - Google Search has links to images and press coverage. Local Motors has a track record as an automobile manufacturer with their Rally Fighter, and they propose to 3D print a car body at the International Manufacturing Technology Show this September in Chicago, IL, USA. The Renault Twizzy drivetrain that currently powers a test mule will be installed. Then they can fight it out with Urbee about who was first.
The body was designed by an Italian, Michele Anoé, who goes by Harlock. Four months after he learned about Local Motors and the competition he had won and receives $5K.
It will be constructed as a ABS/carbon-fiber monobloc. The only downside I see is it isn't a DOT-approved windshield, although with thick enough Lexan, it may as well be bullet-proof. The wheels are also 3D printed.
