Hate how it looks in front. Love the side views. Jury is still out on the rear view.
Interesting that the windshield wiper is so exposed. ???
Just love the out-of-the-box (literally) thinking where they have the side door crash beams outside of the cabin.

Side impact is TRULY creative. so obvious a solution, yet so elegant functionally.
Jury has returned the verdict on the rear. BLECH.

It really surprises me that the wheels on that thing are not smoother. Maybe they were more interested in reducing weight that they were with the aerodynamics on the wheel. They could have done a better job, but a .19 drag coefficient would be impressive for a production vehicle. I hope they get these to production so people start getting used to what the cars on the future will look like.

That is the aero shape in the back you'd better get used to because it is how the air designs it. If cars are going to continue to improve mileage, this is the shape they'll all come up with. I think they could have done a better job with the frame on the hatch and made it with more glass to minimize the blind spot there.

Hmmm, looks somewhat familiar...
The biggest difference between the SIM-LEI and CarBEN EV5 is my design has a narrower rear track, so the fender "shoulders" do not have to be as wide:
I'll see how the rear sight lines work out, but I think I'll have much smaller blind spots.

Sorry for the repost. Didn't realize this vid was as old as the hills. I need to search the forum more often.

Yer cool HondaGuy, Thanks for putting this in the "Aerodynamics" section.
Mention has been made of the wheels being non pizza pan style. Something to keep in mind, the wheel hubs are the motors for this car, it is direct drive. So I imagine they need some way to get the heat out of the motors and venting through the wheels is the way to go. Probably a whole career could be made out of designing a wheel that was aero efficient and still moved air to cool the direct drive motor.
