Not just language; regulatory regimes (DEF delete, etc.)

The area of interest would be the interference drag between the inner face of whatever fender and the hood side, around the suspension components.

Convert to rocker arms and spring/shock laid horizontal inside the body, make the upper and lower A-arms triangular plates and add a conveyor belt hood to the bottom ones to shield the steering arms.

^^ Any one of those might be a bad idea.

Rocker or pushrod (or any other inboard suspension) clearly cleans up the air flow, and I think there is reliable evidence of the improvement from some of those that have done it. The trouble is that they usually do it to improve handling, so not much is published on aero benefit. I'd like to go inboard myself, but it looks quite a big job.
