Kind of. I'm living in California right now doing an internship (no snow). I'll be driving the Miata for one semester in Illinois (finishing my undergrad degree). I don't drive much at school. Then, the Miata and I will be back in California. So, the tires need to survive 3 months (January to March) of very occasional use in an Illinois winter.
