Another great resource and a way to get involved locally is a website called meetup.com It's a national website that brings together groups of people with similar interests for meetings, outings, etc. I contacted a local "green" meetup group I found on the site and should be doing something with them soon! You can search on meetup.com and find a group for just about every topic under the sun in your area.
