i'd say find the ecm; and make sure all the sensors are there(iat,cts,map/maf,tps). if the coolent temp sensor isn't sending the correct reading for your coolent to the ecm, it'll run pig rich.

but on the topic of reducing pumping; fast bleed lifters could help

fast bleed lifters?

effectively reduce valve lift and duration at low rpm

dunno if there would be any benefit in combo with a stock truck cam though

ok.... truck sort of..... went kablammy today, was a rust bucket anyways but i don't see any way I can make this system myself right now anyways sooo hopefully one day i'll have the resources
