Mercedes E300 hybrid... has it been noticed here?

It looks like it's doing the business in Europe, based on the 2.1litre diesel engine.. actually doing what it says on the tin.

it does a 'sailing' mode.. i.e. P&G at constant speed.

Achieved 67mpg(UK) on a real world run at motorway speeds (70mph)

I did a search here but didn't seem to bring anything up.

and yes.. it's a tad expensive at the moment.. I'm watching the second hand prices but £32k is still too much for the purpose of saving fuel.

Sure it's expensive, but at least for me it seems to make more sense than the E400 Hybrid

Well, even the non-hybrid Diesel 4-pot makes more sense than any V6 gasser.

That's why the 4 pot diesels are by far the most popular variant in the UK

What makes me weap is people who go and buy one, then complain they can't get more than about 45mpg out of them.. I'm getting nearly that from my straight 6!

I wish we could get the Diesel versions in Brazil too. Back here I'm not sure, but seems that the V6 gassers are not available anymore, only 4-pot turbocharged gassers and the AMG V8.
