Dear hypermilers
It has been sometime now since I have been experimenting with car tyres.I noticed that even a tyre with no holes still loses some air over time and I also noticed the tyre starting to develop small cracks. The cracks are oxygen damage according to experts,so I decided to coat the inner tyre and outer tyre with silicone sealant used commonly in bathrooms.
To my amazement the tyre loved the coating and actually absorbed it, well I have been driving on the tyres for one year now with no visible crack formation and fewer air top ups.
The silicone sealant has in fact many uses that I have discovered, for example if silicone is mixed with petrol in a bucket it becomes thin and runny which I use for the following
1.if you dip a flag in the mixture, the flag becomes waterproof, fadeproof, tearproof and will even wave in the rain.
2.you can coat your cloth upholstery with the mixture, which will become absorbed by the cloth and voila you have soft and waterproof seats that will not develop a tear easily or fade nor get dirty and store bacteria and fungus.
coffee stains wil be a thing of the past.
3.If you like to work in the garden in your old jeans well you can apply the mixture to the knee area of the jeans and the butt area so your jeans will become waterproof at those spots good for kneeling in wet mud or sitting.
DIRECTIONS
IN A PLASTIC BUCKET PUT THE AMOUNT OF SILICONE YOU THINK MIGHT NEED AND PUT IN A LITTLE PETROL AND MIX VIGOROSLY AND USE MIXTURE QUICKLY OR IT WILL GEL UP.USE LATEX GLOVES AND DO IT IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA CAUSE THE FUME IS DANGEROUS.
TIPS:try coating garden umbrella
why do I write these things? well tough times need tough solutions
cheers
I am constantly experimenting and doing research and I live in Africa need I say more,I also run a school for low income kids, any cash donations are kindly welcome.
