Metro Detroiter here....

So i've turned over a new leaf .... going from typically owning performance vehicles with gobbs of torque to now being ok with an economy car.

I took a leap from 20 mpg in my 06 Chrysler 300 SRT8 and got into a 2011 Chevy Cruze Eco 1.4L Turbo 6MT with a best of 45.2 mpg in a tank fill. I love it especially since I drive 100 miles a day.

I've got the bug now to target 50 mpg. I'm hoping to learn a lot here to get me there!

Welcome to the site and congrats on the cruze eco!

With a little work I'm sure 50 mpg is doable with the car. Have you aired up the tires yet?

Yes, went from 37 (as delivered from the dealer) to 41 last week. I'm going to bump up a few more psi and see where the ride gets affected and then back down if needed.
