Metro by MG

I always check out the local ads on CL.com for steals on cars that I still won't buy...but a guy can dream. Since signing up here I use the searches for economy cars more and more. Was just searching for "metro" to see what people are asking for these days for those little gems and a 1981 MG Metro Turbo pops up.

Its a pretty square car...but it was 1981...but what caught my eye was the box cavity/kamm back that this one has which I've attached.

Wondering how you all feel about it's possible benefits? I think its pretty cool that there are (were) things out there to add to the car that could actually help the fuel economy.

Hucho says that other than a proper boat tail, the cavity is basically the only other mod which has demonstrated performance.
You'd want a few feet of it.Hucho showed a curve of performance with the diminishing return asymptote on a VW microbus.

you want to buy that, and tear out the engine to sell to an original mini fanatic- they're worth big money.

then you can install a decent motor and extend that box cavity!
