Question Milk centrifuge for wvo and black diesel

Could a milk separator work for filtering fuel instead of a special biodiesel centrifuge? Even if it requires a few modifications (probably does) that still would do great cost savings, buying a used oil centrifuge locally is basically impossible. Milk ones on the other hand are widely available.

I don't know but looked into i enough to find this:

Do you want to clarify (remove solid particles) or separate (i.e., water)?

I guess clarifying would be the better choice? Proper waste oil centrifuges deal with the water too, but maybe I could just boil it away.

Generically:

Cyclonic separation
Cyclonic separation is a method of removing particulates from an air, gas or liquid stream, without the use of filters, through vortex separation. When removing particulate matter from liquid, a hydrocyclone is used; while from gas, a gas cyclone is used. Rotational effects and gravity are used to separate mixtures of solids and fluids. The method can also be used to separate fine droplets of liquid from a gaseous stream. Wikipedia

I worked on these things for years. Yeah it would likely work. I would be surprised if it didn't.
Yes you would want a clarifier.

As oil floats on water, couldn't you just have a tap at the bottom of a settling container?
Preferably a container that conical at the bottom.
