I hate when this happens

Went an apparent 920 km on 8.2 gallons. I have been running this odometer (yeah it is metric ) for the last 2000 miles. I did switch to a more expensive fuel and found a loose front hub during the last tank.

The car is rolling better.... what ever that means.
69 mpg Next fill in a couple of weeks might confirm or just bring it back to reality. The last time I had a nice bump in mileage happened all at once so I know things happen.

In the end it all works out. It may make your next tank look bad, but the average of the 2 should be about right.

Is that 1.6L that you have turbo'd or just natually aspirated?

Dave,
It is a non intercooled turbo. I obviously drive it at as low of rpm as it seems to tolerate.

I have a new set of injectors but they are still in the box.
I hear you about averages. Looks good today and fairly crappy next time. That is what I hate.
