I hate the name, it's really hard to tell people about a car when you don't know what it's called or the name is not something that you can pronounce! a few weeks ago I gave a presentation on EV's and with the i-MiEV I was stumped as to what to call it for the longest time, I almost left it out of my presentation for that reason.

I agree. I have heard it called a [Meev], an [I-Meev] a [Me-Ev], etc.

I've come down to calling it the "I" or the i-ev because there are no gasoline versions of the i sold in the USA, but everyone has a different name for it and no one wants to look foolish asking about it and giving it the wrong name so it gets pushed to the side, give it a name that people can say and people will start talking about it, assuming that it's worth talking about!
But even the i is a lousy name for marketing without the random letters after it.

I don't think Mitsu's problem has ever been style, rather everything else.

I completely agree. It looks modern and futuristic still today. It would have been a hit.
