You and I measure fuel economy in mpg etc.
Both on the highway AND in town.
(you know town: where 98% of all driving happens)
The rest you leave to research labs.
Then you read their peer reviewed, published (= White-balled = fact) research.
Or you try start an in depth argument to obfuscate the basic, fundamental facts.
Good luck with that.

In the USA, 55% is 'CITY', 45% is 'HIGHWAY' for the EPA 'COMBINED.'
Which would have no bearing on some motorists, whose driving is mostly highway, at up to 85-mph ( 136.7-km/h )
'Context'

Context is exactly it:
In this context:
Model Y vs. EV6 Cd Analysis why is one Cd better than the other.
One may have an aluminum flat bottom, while the other doesn't.
That one may do better on the freeway, while the other does better in town, despite its higher Cd, thx to less weight.
(and possibly due to a cooler exhaust or something)

We'll never know unless someone investigated it and reported.

AH!
Do you mean "someone" like me who investigated and reported on Boric Acid in engine oil, or do you mean "someone" like a research institute who got the research peer reviewed (white-balled) so they could publish it..?
As neither seem to matter a jot to you and you, yourself don't seem to consider yourself to be a "someone", I'm at a loss to what you mean..?

I'm at a loss as to what your point is and what it has to do with this thread.

Good -- it sounds like you're focusing on your edumacation.
This is spillover from a thread about what does or does not mitigate engine wear.
