There are so many kits you can get for converting a VW bug to electric I don't think this is going to make it.
After a year or two of battery payments and you have paid for your battery pack!
Why is the battery pack in the trunk? there is space under the rear seat and it's really low.

I guess you know ethanol as a motor fuel used to be taken more seriously in my country, and even the air-cooled VWs had their fair share of it. Well, I guess a properly tuned old VW running on ethanol would have an actually smaller environmental footprint than most EV conversions.
