Although aerohead is invaluable as a resource here and his truck is amazing, I must cast my vote for basjoos and his AeroCivic. The AeroCivic is, for me, the ultimate production car based hypermiler. Pretty much everything that could be modded is and even though it's not a smooth, polished gem the numbers he puts up makes us forget about all that and drop our jaws at the mods.
I'm still learning here and thank everyone for their help, guidance and even wacky ideas. My next project, whenever it starts, will be more of a ground-up approach similar to drmiller's but with major layout differences (but it wouldn't/won't be possible without you guys). Thanks to Ken Fry for posting up about his three wheeler, which looks like the SpaceshipOne! With more reading on here and elsewhere we can all improve the forum's vast stores of info while learning more for our own projects.

I think everyone has covered my favorites, but I will throw in MPHolmes for his controller work.
Low &slow Sendler and Redyaris are personal favorites for their really charging in on the high mpg cycles.

Ken Fry- Not just for his Zing, but for his amazing knowledge and his very gracious replies to us "tailgunners".
Frank-Cracks me up. Calls them like he sees them.

Well Ben has influenced a lot of people, giving lectures, attending shows so on so forth.
For influence on this site for me its not just a few, its the large conglomerate of influences coming together.
Lots of talent here. Since you ask i will single out Darren / metrompg and his site ecomodders.

Andrew (Pale), because technique trumps mods
Darin (Metrompg), for his thorough testing
Frank Lee, for his balloon-puncturing skills and/or his BS detector
Vic (Low&Slow), devoted to motorcycles, and a fine gentleman
Slowmover, always an educational read
Jomel Moldonado (sp?), for his inspirational load-sensitive cruise control
and you, whom I missed. You all contribute gems from time to time - like the guy who posted the kill switch wiring for Scion xA/xBs.

I think each of us was influenced by someone else - it's impossible to read the whole forum, so everyone reads what (s)he is interested in. I'm all for those already named in this thread, and I'll add Groar to the list. He had a great influence on me since, as far as I know, he was the first European to ecomod his ride and got some great numbers with his Megane.
Oh, and has MetroMPG been mentioned for his scientific approach?

Sentra, for seriously testing things (wheel size, warm intake, etc) and considering the hard questions and looking at the big picture.
