Most (un) aero vehicle you have seen ?

I've seen lots of vehicles that display a complete ignorance of aerodynamics, but yesterday I saw one of these trucks on the highway :

The enclosed portion of the truck ( the section behind the cab of the truck ) was mounted open end first.

He was literally driving a huge parachute !

On the opposite side of the spectrum, the day before, I saw a truck with a prop from a windmill on the trailer much like the one pictured here.
(Probably the best aero the truck will ever have ! )

I saw a woman driving a Hummer with a fridge in the box on the roof. Probably the highest Cd recorded.

Is it a vehicle? I think so. :p

How about this Toyota 4X4 conversion I saw in Peru last Spring?

That first vehicle, the orange truck is not really made for high speed travel, it's a work vehicle! the kind of vehicle that shouldn't get much more then 5,000 miles per year on it, it's kind of like saying "those garbage trucks sure need some streamlining" , least aerodynamic vehicle I've seen? a classic style Jeep with a lift kit, pretty much any lift kit, stubby body with lots of angles, loose top square rear end, rough shaped under body.

That camper has a nice slope to it .... but it's up-side-down ! :D

I've got you beat : I saw a guy with a camper much like the one in your picture, but it had a 'Dish' network reciever on the side of the truck. On the other side he had an A/C unit and several other protrusions.
I didn't have a camera ( Murphys Law )
I was tempted to leave a note on his truck explaining that he would get better mileage with the protrusions at the rear of the camper and in the wake.

:)

Maybe thread should say, "That is supposed to travel at highway speeds"

According to our Wiki, the most un-aero daily driver you see every day is the 2002-08 Dodge Ram pickup, which has the same CdA as three Honda Civics. I'd be embarrassed to use a truck of that size to transport just one person.

Edit: come to think of it, the worst aero I've ever seen on the highway probably belonged to the US Army, with something like this:

You'd sure think RV manufacturers would have a clue regarding aero... but evidently most of them don't.

I had to laugh at an RV I happened to notice the other day... all the leading edges: square as can be. Actually, all the edges on the whole thing- front, top, and rear were all square as could be. BUT the rockers had nice huge radii! The one set of edges (besides the rear) that ought to be sharp, weren't. Go figure.

And then there is all the **** glommed on to them: ladders, awnings, roof mount a/c units, multiple a/c units, racks, antennae... you name it, it's hangin' out there.
