MPGuino Power Off?

This might be a dumb question...

but, other than selecting brightness 0, is there a way to power off the display?
Or does it draw so little power on brightness 0 that it won't drain my Geo's battery very quickly?
Any advice or knowledge appreciated. Finally got it all hooked up and I'm excited to start testing it!

Very low draw, I leave mine alone for days, weeks with no battery problems.

Thanks for the reply! I figured that to be the case, but wanted to confirm, so as not to kill my battery...

Its not as good as it could be, but I've had no problems.

The backlight and display is very low power, you save about 5mA when it goes into stanby (The backlight should go off after the timeout delay around 7 minutes).

In 'standby' the unit uses about 20mA, and I believe this can be improved to about 5mA by using the proper standby mode of the processor and maybe some wiring modification to allow the display to turn-off, but that needs a software update which you can implement from someones code if you're up to modifying and reprogramming.

Would be nice if someone collected all the improvements and rolled them into a new unit, eg with low power, ignition detect/voltage compensation + readout, guided calibration for delay and flow and so on.
