I had a friend of ours who is a mechanic look at it and he tried lots of new parts on the speedometer and he couldn't get it to work. And yeah, I really don't want to fork out the money to acually get it fixed because it would be expensive. Is there any way to test just the sensor in the tranny? I guess trial and error would work..

*update* cable speedo broke again. After having a chat with the mechanic who messed with the stock speedo, i've determined that I'll try using the VSS in the tranny for the guino and also use the guino as a speedo..hopefully the sensor functions and all goes well. Thanks everyone for the input!

I'll keep my fingers crossed! Let us know of the outcome.
