my other car

decided to add my patrol to my garage!!

why its not setup for fuel Efficiency it gets impressive fuel use inder tow normal driveing will see 20mpg and under tow of my 1100kg camper trailer i normally see 16.22 mpg i plan to track my fuel consumption on a trip i am undertakeing with a total distance of around 8000km my mods are as follows

high flow 3 inch exhaust
boost and egt gauges
fuel pump tuned

the total weight of trailer and car are nearly 4000kg with fuel and equipment

i plan to monitor my driveing style and see how it effects fuel use under very real curcumstances

thanks ryan

Welcome to the forum!

You might want to look into getting an instant fuel consumption gauge like a Scanguage or Ultragauge if you don't already have one. They make it easier to figure out what works as you travel.

Good luck on your trip and post your results. We love numbers around here.

my other car

i use a balance of my egt gauge to make sure i not just dumping fuel out the exhuast (300-350 degrees c) and my boost gauge to keep intake pressures around 9psi at cruise ( this is a deisel vac gauges wont work) this seems to be the most efficenct cruise and i can sustain this at around 100kmh with trailer and loaded i get around 13-14 liters 100km

I like the Nissan Patrol, too bad it was never officially available in Brazil. BTW is yours fitted with the TD42 engine?
