If you mean paint a portrait on the roof, I already have something painted there :

Even something as simple as this, and people can't make out what it is.
If I painted a dog or cat up there, most people wouldn't be able to make out what it is.
The problem is that you have to be at a very high vantage point to see it.

I considered painting something stretched out on the roof - a '3D ' effect , but again you have to be at just the right height and angle to see it right.

Example :

When viewed from the wrong angle, the illusion falls apart :

Need aero advice on car top business sign
Ah, it all becomes clear with a picture. This didn't go over well in BabyDiesel's thread so I'll try here.

Apparently the fins need to roll inward ala the Bertone BATs. You could put a hoop over the rear hatch (so it just clears when open) and bring fins up from the A-pillar. Depending on how high you go you could get some exposure, and it might even help the aerodynamics.

That would still be nice, even though it seems to not serve your purpose. So, maybe you should just make something similar to an oversized sharkfin antenna and paint portraits on its sides.

I'd go with two sharkfins the length of the roof for twice the surface (plus short people can see them more easily). Fins like the LeMons racer would be proportioned well for a phone number or other text.

Next time the paint on those windows cracks, strip the glass, shoot it with 4-6 coats of Plastidip and then repaint over that.
