Hypertech programmers?

I was looking at one for my F-150. Who has any experience with them? Seems pricey to me. Pros and cons?

I've been using a Hypertech programmer on my 2007 V-6 Mustang since May, 2009. Pros: more low-end torque; no reduction in fuel economy; better acceleration
Cons: wish I'd bought it sooner

I wish i could afford one. Does anyone know where to get one cheaper, or even something that does the same thing for less

They do have used programmers on the market.

I've tried finding used ones on ebay and craigslist, but it seems like everyone wants retail value for them.
