New to eco driving

Hi my name is Kevin, I am new to this whole eco driving thing, I never really cared about my mileage before as I always drove cars that got 30ish with no real effort. Well my daily driver Civic has pretty much become a drag racing car, so I bought an Accord wagon as my new daily, it is my first automatic car, although I wish it wasnt, and much to my chagrin it gets poor mpg's like 23 on a good day. I tried basic things like a tune up, more air in my tires and generally driving less agressively, and it didnt help much, so I was doing some research and landed here. I hope to learn some tricks and tips and improve my mpg's at least somewhat, not looking to go to wild, but 27 or so would be great. I did some initial testing yesterday, and managed to get it up to almost 25 over 60 miles, so I am already doing better, just neutral coasting as much as possible mainly. So anyways hello, and nice to meet you all.

Welcome! You are doing the right things, but it is a wagon (heavy) , and I think the automatic is your biggest foe.

Would you consider putting the time/effort to make it a 5spd. stick w a different diff.
ratio??

I just think the largest gains could be found there. I know its a lot of work!

Well I would love to make it a 5 speed but its not financially feasible right now maybe in the future, also the car has other issues so I would like to replace it if possible, but I agree I believe large gains could be had with a stick and a different gear ratio
