Never ever put a new oxygen sensor post cat.
Unless you have money to burn.
One of the pre-catilydic oxygen sensors should be functional and can simply be relocated post converter.
There is a very small number of vehicles that take a different sensor for post cat but its kind of rare and I believe the 01 mustang isn't one of them.
