New guy with a Nova

Hello everyone,
I drive my 87 Nova around 250mi per week going to school and work. The car is in good shape. It originally had an auto trans, but the trans diead a few months ago, so I decided to swap a manual trans in it. Best thing I have done to the car! While I was at it I removed the ac, and power steering. I was getting 28mpg average with the auto, now I am geting 36-40, and had a 54 mpg tank! Ive always creeped around on the site looking for info, so I decided to join.

Those Merkurs were neat cars, but never sold well. Is that a 5 speed car ?
