Oh.. dude.. you have to try it. The Fiero feels so stable while you're sliding around, and they already have great throttle response.

BTW, might as well do it on the baldies.. save money.

Last time I did it was with a 3.8 Bonneville SSE/SC swap. The guy mated the SSE/SC motor to the stock 2.8L tranny, and did some nice power tuning, but I wasn't involved in the build, just the testing.

yea, a friend has a 3800 sc II attached to his 86 4 spd. he let me test drive it the other nite. wow, thats a lot of fun. gets pretty decent mpg for what it is. i think he averages at like 28-31 depending on how he drives it. my milage blows according to my meter thingy in my sig. but that is the fuel im using while tuning it too.

The mileage is awesome on those SC engines... even better than my wife's 1994 GP, which is why I wanna get her a newer one..

She wants a '00 GP GTP (SC) which gets 6mpg more, has better suspension, power, etc, and won't have alot of miles.

Chances are, I'll end up using hers as a trade on one, when I get back to work. And I'll find a Fiero in a few years after I get my CRX redone.

If you swap the supercharged 3800 with the 4T65E-HD transmission into a Fiero you can expect mileage to be in the 34 - 36 mpg range and still run low 13 second 1/4 miles. It is a great combination of speed and economy. For that reason it is my next large scale project.

sounds like that could be the next project when this fiero is done if it gets that good of milage. i should be running a low 13, high very high 12 once this one is tuned right.
