I've been lurking around for awhile now and finally decided to join up. Currently own a 2007 Matrix and a 2007 Yaris (wifes car). Long time high performance gearhead but totally learning to love hypermiling! My wifes car might be the better of the two for it but her foot is made of solid lead so the goal is to see how far we can take the Matrix! Thanks to all of you for your contributions to the forum already, as it has been a wealth of information for me. Totally transformative to my driving habits. Happy to be here!

Welcome, 5 posts will allow you to post photos, however, don't use photobucket, they started charging, I went with flickr, it uses yahoo mail intergration, others use google+.
Welcome to the site. I used to have a 2003 Matrix and really enjoyed it. My wife was the primarily driver at the time, but she did pretty good with it.
Welcome and have fun learning. So is your goal to beat your wife's mileage in the Yaris? I kind of envy you guys who get to live where it's always warm. OTOH, it is rarely warm enough here to need A/C. My Echo is black with no A/C. My wife has complained a bit but
I haven't missed it.

Thanks for those links Daox, I actually stumbled upon this forum as a result of googling "hypermiling a matrix" and finding your build thread totally by chance! I totally intend on using your build as a template for mine, especially your belly pan setup.
@puddleglum, beating my wifes mileage would be a small, but sweet victory! Haha
