Yes...of course Figoni and Falaschi comes to mind....They were also known as Fancy and Flashy, The Bugatti type 57 Atlantic was a riveted marvel for all you officionados...Delage and Delahaye also wore some very nice tear drop "carrosseries". The most wonderful and simplest to me has to be the Talbot-Lago teardrop....I lived with one for a complete summer when I was guide in a museum.
In the commmmmplete opposite spectrum of economy mindedness but still sporting an absolutely incredible body is the Blastolene that was sold at Barret-Jackson for over 400 000. It is motivated by a V12 truck engine that realises aproximately 1 (one) mile to the gallon. Those 702 are quite thirsty. But then again who cares when it's not going to move from it's pedestal....
