New Project Honda

So, I picked up a 1993 Honda Accord for basically nothing the other day. It needs a lot of work, but most of it I think I can do myself. I am going to turn it into my project Ecomod car since I don't have much in it and it will never be worth much either. (300k on the odometer and 23 years old) I told my wife it was probably going to be ugly and not much for anybody else but I want to go nuts with it. Probably as much custom homemade mods as possible to keep costs down and a lot of driver retraining as well. According to fuelly.com, these average around 24.6 mpg so I think my target will be 30 mpg to start and then we will go from there.

Will do. I'm putting the extra limitation of a $1000 budget for this build. I'm 200 in so far for the car and synthetic trans fluid and new filter.

Actually, I'm 200 in including those parts. I haven't ever done a trans in a honda, but between myself and my uncle we should have it covered. Why do you ask? Is it more difficult than I realize or something?
