Mechanical Concrete

Is this is low-tech high-tech?

Recycling tires is good. There is a negative cost associated, people pay you to take them.

They show the stabilized gravel being top coated, but one could do a home driveway in gravel with just a reciprocating saw and back-breaking labor.

I will have to watch the video later but if it's what I think it is then it could be a really bad idea of its done exactly right.

if you had gooey ground, putting down a layer of fabric followed by those tires filled with gravel would be great. Around here the ground is firm enough to have no benefit at driveway level usage, but soggy bottomland probably a good idea.

But what if it's not what you think it is? Care to commit before you watch it?

TLDR; close-packed cells prevent wallowing out.

Ok I thought it was ground up tires mixed with agg. Yeah ground up tires try to ignite if all the steel belt isn't picked out when it gets wet.
This should work if they already tested it by making dirt roads that tractor trailers and dump trucks drive on.

(I’m dying). Now there’s a post just gave potential to this thread.

Can’t wait to see the Hearst Ranch entry gate erected (“on loan”, you know).

Then the oilfield structural pipe railed fence to keep the bison from wandering onto the motorway as his Lordship is making a quick nip down to the coffee shop.

Sorry to disappoint but all I have is a gravel parking space parallel to the lane. And that Arcimoto is a pipe dream until they ship a Minimum Viable Product at their target price point.

And I run a small coffee and sandwich shop here with a clientele of one.

I'll donate some old tires to beef up your parking space. Maybe that's just the thing to boost your coffee and sandwich business.

It's name would be Fortress of Solitude.

I just rent the ground, I'm not going to put a lot of work into it. But a single row of tires up against the asphalt as a retaining wall might raise the parking space above the flood plane. Seriously, the lane turns into a pond. Up level with the carport would be nice.

Maybe you don't have to cut off the bottom sidewalls.
