Hello!

Hey everyone, I created an account here a few years ago when I was shopping around for new more efficient cars, and used some of the information I got from your guides to improve my driving even in my father's old very inefficient car. Some things pushed it back, but I am the proud owner of a lightly used (2600 miles) 2012 Honda CR-Z and I plan to do my best to make the most of it! You'll see me around this forum a lot more often, and I'll probably actually post a time or two now!

Thanks everyone, I'm pretty excited about my first new (it's close enough for me) car purchase!
-Kate

Thanks! And unfortunately they only had the automatic at the dealership I went to, I was pretty surprised at how good it was considering my credit, and didn't want to sit and wait on it at the price :P

Though being the hybrid with a cvt in it I suppose it's not the worst thing ever, and it does have paddle shifters so I could pseudo control gear shifts haha.

Well, the CVT gets better gas mileage, but you can't do any fancy Pulse and Gliding. I'm in the same boat. However, with good driving with load techniques a CRZ can far exceed its EPA ratings.
