Newbie from Baltimore

Hi everyone!

I'm a 24 year old grad student from Baltimore and recently came across this site while looking for information on a road trip I'm planning for next summer. I don't know too terribly much about cars, but I'm learning as I go along and I absolutely love this forum!

I currently drive an 03 Lancer, that I've had for about one year now and that I hope will last my through grad school at least! I've never had too much exposure to the inner workings of a car, but I'm very much a DIY guy so when I recently had some idling problems, that sparked my curiosity and I'm slowly starting to get my head around everything.

I've always tried to keep one eye on my fuel economy but I've never worried too much about it since I was getting about the same or slightly above EPA estimates. Discovering this forum however has really motivated me to take a second look and see what i can do to improve my mileage, so I'm looking forward putting my newly gained knowledge into practice!
