Thumbs up Newbie EV Motorcycle

Hi,

I just joined EcoModder and have enjoyed reading the posts so far.

I am developing a project that consists on the conversion of an old motorcycle, with combustion engine, to a electric motorcycle. I pretend 100 km of range and 120 km/h of top speed.

Very intrested on the developing of the Paul & Sabrina's cheap DIY motor controller.

Cheers!!

PS:I am from Portugal, so the English language may suffer some attacks. Sorry about that.

Welcome to the site. Do you have the bike or any parts for the conversion yet?

Hello everyone,

The project is in a early stage, i am looking for what i can do and what i need to buy, the motor is pre-selected, should be a EMC-RT Motor.

It have 8 kW of continuous power and 19 kW peak, i think it should handle pretty well a motorcycle with 150 or 200 kg.
And i am looking for litium LifePo4 batteries, they are pretty expensive, but they have very high cycle life of up to 2000 cycles, low weight and that should compensate the investiment.

Currently i am searching for DIY controllers, battery chargers and BMS systems for the batteries.

And the motorcycle should be something like this:Kawasaki GPZ GPX 250, something that can support the extra weight and space of the batteries.

Any advices or suggestions, i am always available to listen and learn.
