Newbie saying hi

Hi all. I am Doug and have been lurking here for a few months

I drive a mustang GT with all bolt on mods except headers Ever since I had to take a job in utah and my family lives in arizona, I have been trying to get more mpg out of my car.
If you ever been in this area you know how lonely the roads are to drive, along with 75 mph speed limit ( I tend to try and keep it 85 mph). I know not the greatest for eco driving but the best mpg to date is 28.5 at 80 mph

Just wanted to say HI and give you some background on me.

Doug

Welcome. You certainly will find lots of tips to improve your mpg. First, anything above 55mph costs you mpg, try to cut your speed. Probably the biggest improvement you can make is changing the way you currently drive.

welcome! Hopefully you can find the inner strength to slow down (atleast to 75ish). I guess you have to aeromod the hell out of the pony to make it more efficient.

How far is your commute? Slowing down would definitely help. That and aeromods.

My commute is 530 miles one way, I head home every 2-3 weeks
As for slowing down..Ppfft, I grew up in Buffalo NY. I used to think going 60 was fast till I moved out west
