GTA Malibu

Hey all,

My name is Chris, and I received my Bachelor's of Mechanical Engineering from GMI EMI. I focused on fluid mechanics, for the purpose of designing engines.

I have a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu LS, and there are plenty of things that I'm not happy with. It's rated at 30 mpg highway, which is dismal for a 4 cylinder imho. This site has already helped me get as high as 37 mpg highway. It's hard to p&g because the car is such a brick.

ERTW -

Welcome to EM! I think your 7th-gen 2008 Malibu is better looking than the current one. The proportions are spot-on and the lines are *clean*. I wish the Malibu Maxx had been continued with your-gen Malibu.

I don't disagree with a 6speed manual being better:

from wiki:

Partially through the 2008 model year, the 2.4L Ecotec was offered with a 6-speed automatic transmission.[17] to improve performance and fuel economy
