I have been lurking for a while interested in what everyone was doing.I decided to jump in when i found something that intrested me last week i purchased a 1990 CRX HF. This week I've been looking at what I got.
Timing belt looks new, but I've ordered belt, pulley, waterpump,seals,etc. just to zero out those maintance items.
Looking forward to taking a few trips early next year,and learning from this forum,I'm interested in any and all ideas.
I normaly drive a KLR 650 so the crx is not a daily driver,this will enable me to have it down without the pressures of getting it back on the road to get to work.

I'd say a guy that uses a bike in Houston metro deserves an ice cold A/C when he has to use the car. Hope the funds are available to that end, shortly.

Hey AC is not really needed... I did it this last summer with out it and with the windows down about 2 inches. I will tell you it is a whole different level of hell though. but welcome to the forums B Lee. I am out of Baytown.

The AC is an issue down here. I grew up here, and I live close to the coast. installed AC in the house two years ago. The wife and I worked durning the day and except for a few weeks in August we didn't really need it.
If it got bad we would go to the mall. As far as the car, I can handle it if moving.
I think some of that shiney bubble wrap insulation is in order though.
this HF I bought has one, and I'll be using it if in traffic.
just found that it does not have the correct climate control.(it was locked on AC with no defrost) got to sort that out.
You are right about the Bike. I just wish less people would throw there butts out the window.

Smart idea! Don't forget your hoses as well. Maybe repacking/replacing your hub baring would be a good idea while you're at it. Those hubs have to be in bad shape from all the moisture and years of service.
