Newer charter buses have rear proximity sensors to deter drafters??
Whenever I am on the highway, I always seek out an opportunity to draft behind a large boxy vehicle. There is no arguing the FE gain potentials you can see from drafting.
Lately I have been noticing that newer charter buses seem to have a proximity sensor that detects when cars are close behind them. These buses have multiple sets of LED tail lights and they seem to flicker in different patterns depending on how close you are to the bus and how long you've been there (it seems to get more drastic if you try to ignore them). I thought at first it was the drivers of the buses doing it, but this has happened to me on multiple occasions and the brake light patterns seem similar between newer buses.
Has anyone else noticed this?
