Nice to be welcome

I was amazed to find a site about FE that doesn't scorn and ridicule those that don't own econoboxes and realize that those of us who own "gas guzzlers" are interested in FE too. If for whatever reason we cannot change what we drive, we can try to get the best out of the vehicle we have.

Drive a 2001 Dodge Dakota quad cab 4.7L 4X4 auto trans. The "trip computer" tells me I get 18-19 on my daily commute. I never idiot checked that by fillup gallons/miles. I will start now as I have read the "computer" may be optimistic. My bad. I used to log FE all the time, going back to my '70 Maverick 200CI/3 speed. Worse one I ever owned was a 81 Mustang 4 banger with automatic. Couldn't even come close to my 77 F150 4X4 with 400CI and automatic? Go figure. And I traded to get better FE.
