When I bought my Versa used a few weeks ago it only came with 1 key and I wanted an extra. I knew dealers often wanted hundreds of dollars for the keys and programming them so I started doing some research and found 2 blanks on eBay for $13.29 and ordered them. The local hardware store doesn't sell transponder keys so I ask them if they would cut my blanks for me. They cut them and charged me $1. each plus tax to cut them. I ended up with $15.41 in 2 keys and getting them cut. I then went to the web to find out how to program them to my car, here's the procedure.
https://youtu.be/-iZZ8x63ytA I thought this might save someone else a few dollars. Why a pay a dealer $200-$300 for what you can do yourself in less than 5 minutes?
