Not a 'Revenge of the Electric Car' fire

Wonder if he is a member/lurker...

The proliferation of home charging stations has to be closely examined for robust & safe installations and complete & proper inspections. There was a home-built EV that could be suspected for having an electrical failure. ANY hint of a Volt starting the garage fire could also create a PR tsunami for the EV/hybrid movement.

The investigation begins...

First off, skeptics have never let the facts and data stop them from spouting complete nonsense. So the garage burned, those who had a snowball's chance in h*ll will rejoice but so what ... they were never going to buy one anyway.

Prius pioneers put up with a first generation car that had its share of problems but that never stopped the skeptics from 'making sh*t up.' So I don't really worry about it.

I am a firefighter, and I can attest to the fact that yes electricity can start fires, but so can fireplaces, barbecue grills, stoves and ovens, and pretty much anything else in most peoples homes. having an electric car does not put you at any higher risk of fire. if you have faulty wiring in your home you are already at risk. BTW lots of fires are started just by people parking their gas burners next to or over something flammable. The exhaust is hot enough to ignite dry grass a foot away.
