O-"Solo"-mio

In about 2-3 months, I'll get to tear into a new Solo and see what makes them tick, so we can work on a strategy to extend its range.

Is there a constraint on how long the boat tail can be?

I'm an electronics guy, not a panel beater. The first stage is to extract about 30% more range by incorporating super caps in with the battery array. That should get our company some attention for at least a year or three. Then we intend to work on approaching 2X the range with a total revamp of the energy storage system. It's already light enough (about 1700 lbs) and aerodynamic enough. Just like my approach to the X-Prize Race, work on the major inefficiencies and leave the little stuff alone (for now).

That thing is a 1-seater? So maybe replace one of the side doors with a permanent panel?
That would reduce some weight, extending range.

We have connections to the company. What we develop may end up in production. Surely they thought of using only 1 door, so I doubt that would pass the committee phase. It's nice you folks are thinking and sharing. Thanks.
