Old Honda Upgrade Engine Donor?

I really dig pre '95 Civics. Especially pre '92s. I have a '90 CX hatch and an '87 hatch that I don't think I could ever sell. But I have never done an engine swap/upgrade in one. I know just enough about the various generations of performance Honda engines to know that I don't know anything. But I think this is something worth grabbing. It's a B16 isn't it? The car has 175k KMs (108k miles), and a five speed, and it's stock. It's also totally rotted out, and one door is just about knocked off it. It will sell for scrap on Saturday. This is one of those parts cars you grab isn't it? Or is this the "wrong" B16 or something? It's an '87.

That's an Integra, right? It's a DOHC D-Series engine. D16A1, I think.

The only thing I can tell for sure from the picture is... That is not a B-16. If it is a B series, it might be a B-18 non VTEC. It also could be one of the ZC variants. I don't have time to look it up right now though.

Sadly I didn't get a chance to grab it. It got booked into the auction from a big franchise dealership, which is why it was unreserved, they wanted nothing to do with it. But then at the last minute it got pulled from the auction and went back to the dealer. That screams the car wash guy at the dealership had seen it come in and wanted it as bad as I did, so he asked his boss to bring it back from the auction haha. Oh well, as long as it didn't go to waste getting crushed I'm cool with that!
