Old to New

I am use to doing things the old way. Now that I have a Pick up truck like I want. I decided it was time to update and make changes to improve the mpg, handling, and performance. I hope to learn a lot here about what changes I need to make.

I have a 302 FI with a AOD trans. 4X2 Dual tanks 8.8 open rear with 3.55 gear. Right now I am not sure about the mpg. The transmission is acting up.

So far I have a Lincoln Mark 8 electric fan, and plan to make upgrades to the dist,I am still researching on what I would like to do there. True dual exhaust 2.5 in pipes. If I use headers I will wrap them to keep heat in.
