In our rural area you are required to have 100 feet of water run off on the toilet. It is called "over the hill." Let nature take its course. It seems crude but it doesn't take any resources.
Where we lived before there were tons of more governmental regulations with the main aspect of trying to control you and make your life more expensive.
Our current property tax is about $20 per acre per year. The bureaucrats just are not here to warrant paying more. Of course the law enforcement is 40 minutes away, fire protection is 20 minutes away. EMS is 20 minutes away.
We never look for trouble and most everyone is very friendly and polite. I can pretty well guarantee that If someone starts a fight on private property, they had better have more firepower than the land owner. It is this the attitude that keeps criminals on their toes.
