I doubt the Audi E-tron has lower total drag than the VW 1L.
Those 4 separate wheels are going to hurt badly.
The suspension also looks a lot dirtier on the production vehicles than on the rendered concepts of similar vehicles. More drag.

Not having anything to the side is going to have effects on side-impact.
The volume being cut away on the E-tron could serve a good purpose - crush zone, luggage space, battery space
