Ok for real I did hear this that a full tank of fuel is less likely to blow up than a tank that's say half full.

I have heard that...I guess because the extra space will have air (oxygen) and gasoline vapor that can more readily ignite. I don't know how significant the difference is, or even if it's true at all.

well, liquid gasoline isn't very explosive/flammable.... in a gaseous state, though.... that's where the magic happens.

The other half ran empty once. It damaged the cat due to running too lean giving too much heat.
